Just went through some of my older poems/ short stories and was quite surprised that some of them are actually quite good. But that's probably just because they mean a lot to me.

    Babylon (2005)

He thinks that this feeling might never come back again. Oh no, in fact he already knows it. Childhood is over, easy long gone. The difficulty of nowadays runs down his face in form of a hot, salty tear. He wonders if it also holds the taste of then. However later, they remain where they occurred. But damn! He wants them to stream down, just to show him physically what he already feels inside for so long. Nobody can force genuine tears, nor true feelings. The feeling is there but it's not reality. Just like Babylon.

Him could be her, is you as me.

    Inside The Gallery (2006)

And now you're sitting there behind the table, thinking about how to overcome shyness. But there is not much time to think, as they all rush by. You try to have eye-contact with everyone, sincere as usual. That's no pretending, it is a deep interest in others that comes right from the heart. However, today you hope that they are not disappointed because of these tired eyes that reply their curious questions. One girl giggles about the blue paint on your hand before taking a strange picture of your brown boots. They all come well prepared, out of a great respect for you. Many of them share personal feelings, tell you how much your work means to them. The smile then becomes even more shy. While writing your name once again you compile a list in your head of all the things you ever wanted to be. Movie star was clearly one of the last ones.

    Indust (2004)

Do you know what it means
    to go down?
To have it all at once?
To disappear in the dust of things?
    Dust as dark and thick
    as the one you saw,
    coming from the chimney
    in that old industrial area
    ? there where you never
    wanted to live.

    Midnight Playlist (2006)

I remember all the feelings in those days.
    How they really looked like?
    - The image is blurry, but it doesn't matter anyway.
    Realizing that everything has changed,
but these feelings still remain, makes me sad.
I always have been this kind of doleful.
I always have been just like this song.

Who is with me, who understands?
    I know somebody. - I realize.
Somebody I share wonderful moments with.
But there are some of these moments,
that make you already sad when going through them,
because you know that they will pass by
and you can only think back of them
without any chance of experiencing again.
    But you're amazed nevertheless.
You never see that other moments will come sooner or later,
still you feel it when they take it away.

    I wish I could cry
and make a film scene out of it,
    turn it into something special.
But this is just my life.
And yet it is something special.

Something I absolutely need to recommend is the PostSecret project.

It's a blog that posts people's secrets every week. Everybody can create a postcard anonymously with a secret on it and send it to Frank who created that project. Many of them then appear on the website. Moreover, there are also three books full of secrets now. I have the first one and it's simply amazing.

It's very intriguing how close you can feel to people just by reading their secrets. Many have written down what I have thought at one or the other point of my life as well. It's sad, funny, fascinating, hopeful...

I don't even know how many times I've already cried reading that website.

That's great, Orion! I can definitely laugh about this, too.

However, in Spanish all problems are male. Although it ends with an "a" (normally indicating a female noun) it's "el problema". So I seriously use the mnemonic trick of "all problems are male" in all my Spanish tests.

So now we combined English stuff with Spanish stuff.
