MitgliedI actually quite like the Welsh accent – but only the ‚mild‘ forms, where one can understand what is being said
American accents… I don’t know that many (or at least not too many where I know which region they’re from). In general I prefer those from the north-east of the US. The southern ones (e.g. from the ‚Old South‘ or Texas) I understand pretty well (at least they’re talking slowly), but I don’t really like.2. August 2009 um 10:02 Uhr #149169Kinofreak

MitgliedUsually I also prefer American accents from the North-East. New England and maybe Boston area. But this semester I had a teacher from north California and I really got used to his accent and really liked it. Without him telling us I also wouldn’t have placed him there but rather on the East coast.

MitgliedI prefer speaking british englisch (with a germany accent, of course, but I hope it’s not sooo strong), because I don’t like the american accent very much. Well, the Australian accent is funny, but Welsh is great!

MitgliedI was in Boston last month for two weeks and some of my friends say that my normal british school accent turned into an American Austrian accent. That´s really funny.
My favourite accent is the Irish one, becausse it sounds so funny. Although it is not easy to understand an Irish man.

MitgliedTake notes on what? Did I miss something?
Maybe we can help a bit with your English. Any subject you’d like to talk about and practice a bit?24. September 2009 um 16:58 Uhr #140533Chase_Cameron

MitgliedI can understand you. xD I’m a looser in English, too, but I like this language. I’m going to London in septembre with my class; it’s a final drive or something like that with the whole class.. ^^
I hope you all understand my writing!10. Januar 2010 um 6:10 Uhr #234690Housito
MitgliedBe certain, it helps a lot to read articles, you are interested in, in English. Use the translating function on Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox for the words, you don’t understand and you’ll wonder, how easy you can learn more English in a short time.
For example, if you are interested in Hugh Laurie or HOUSE, go to an English forum, have fun and learn as a nice side effect.
This, is how I have freshed up my English after 30 years.
But nobody is a loser, you can go on learning for the rest of your, hopefully long, life10. Januar 2010 um 13:24 Uhr #234711sUnShInE
MitgliedIf I have a little bit time, I watch House in Englisch in the Internet.
I understand (mostly) all, what they’re talking about, but nothing medical. xD
Can you send me a link of an Englisch Dr. House Forum please?
Thanks a lot! -
